Squad Events
Our internal events program provides our squad swimmers with the opportunity to perform under race conditions. It is also an opportunity for friends and family to come along and cheer the swimmers in their pursuit for a personal best time!
All squad swimmers from Silver onwards will need to participate in internal events as their recorded times are required to progress through our Squad program. All Squad events are held at the Norwood Swim School.
Super Sprints
This event is fun and fast! This event is open to Hammerhead Shark through to all Squads. Swimmers aim to achieve personal best times in sprint style races over 50m events. Swimmers can enter up to four events. Super Sprints events are held four times per year.
Red and Blue
Red and Blue Day is a fun filled team carnival! This event is open to Hammerhead Shark through to all Squads. Swimmers are divided into two teams to race off against each other in pursuit of team points. Swimmers can select up to four events in a variety of distances and strokes. Red and Blue Days build friendship and leadership amongst squad swimmers. Red and Blue Days are held three times per year.
Mega Swim
Mega Swim is our endurance , distance event. It challenges swimmers from our Advanced Stroke Development program (Hammerhead to White Pointer) through to our State Squad. Swimmers will swim distances in 400m. All participants who successfully complete their distance event for the first time receive a medal. Mega Swim is held four times per year.
